A goldfish pond where Pope Benedict XVI likes to pray and feed the fish has inspired a children's book.

"The Mystery of the Little Pond" is the story of a goldfish who is fed by 'the man in white' when the Pope stays at his summer residence in Castel Gandolfo near Rome.

The goldfish pond is located among some ancient Roman ruins in the palace grounds.

The 24-page book is published by the Vatican and features a photo of the Pope feeding the pondfish on the back cover. The Mystery of the Little Pond is only available in Italian at the moment.
