The Taikong Corporation has launched its latest glowing GM fish at a biotechnology show - a Zebra danio which glows purple thanks to a fluorescent gene from a coral that has been added to its genome.

Taikong are currently marketing a Rice fish which glows green, due to a gene inserted from a fluorescing jellyfish. It recently announced a fish that glows two separate colours. The fish are currently on sale in Taiwan, and are awaiting approval for sale in Singapore.

PFK expects these fish to turn up in the UK before long, but as yet, no import lists mention the availability of these fishes.
