An American airport shut down part of its baggage claim area in response to a suspicious bag discovered left unattended there.

Police at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, Atlanta took the precautionary measure after airport baggage handlers sorting through unclaimed luggage reported a strange bag packed full of aluminium-wrapped objects and strange leaves.

Police called in the bomb squad and ordered passengers to move 200' back while investigations into the contents of the odd package were carried out.

On closer inspection it was discovered that there was indeed something decidedly fishy about the bag, as the foil wrapped objects turned out to be dead fish packed with herbs which the owner had possibly hoped to spice up during their journey.

The identity of the owner of this strange cargo is still being sought, but the fish themselves have been disposed of by the police.
