Thieves escaped with 1500 worth of pond fish from an aquatic store in Devon.

More than 10 Koi carp and six sterlets were stolen, leaving police fearing that the fish will die if not given proper care and conditions.

The incident is believed to have taken place between 9pm and 8am on the 18th and 19th August, at St John's Garden Centre, Barnstaple.

It is the second time in eight weeks that the garden centre has been raided ,taking chainsaws worth 500 and causing damage on the first visit.
