Issue Summary

I was halfway through this issue when we experienced the hottest recorded day in the UK. I know a lot of aquarists were panicking, and given that we have more hot days to come, the feature from Gabor Horvath in this issue about keeping an aquarium cool may have arrived just in time.

What's in this Issue?

I was halfway through this issue when we experienced the hottest recorded day in the UK. I know a lot of aquarists were panicking, and given that we have more hot days to come, the feature from Gabor Horvath in this issue about keeping an aquarium cool may have arrived just in time.
Also exciting to report this month is a completely new fish, fresh from the Congo. Michel Keijman has been keeping it under his hat for a while know, getting to know it intimately, and tells us what he knows of this gorgeous species on page 6.
Biotope expert Tai Strietman guides us through creating a charming South American set-up on page 54, while former PFK editor Jeremy Gay dusted off his keyboard to give us the lowdown on cichlids that live in salt on page 12. Meanwhile, if you’re a marine fan, I’ve written my own homage to tilefish, which you can find on page 54. It’s a mixed bag of an issue!
