Issue Summary

You’ll see even more fresh faces on the pages of PFK this month, and I’ve never been so excited. Not only did I manage to pin down Scott Fellman of Tannin Aquatics for an in-depth on botanicals, I finally lured famed American aquarist Richard Ross to write me a piece on cephalopod care. And as if that wasn’t enough, I even managed to snare icthyologist Luiz Tencatt into writing about what goes on during a fish collecting expedition. It’s the good stuff.

As issues go, this is definitely one of my more diverse. One thing that worries me as an editor is being too repetitive, covering the same subjects year in, year out, so this month you’ll find some features with a slightly different feel to them. And you know what? Looking back through what we’ve put together this time, I found myself nodding and smiling, and saying “yeah, this is alright” out loud. If you’ve ever been in the media world, you’ll know how rare that is for an editor to do.
