Issue Summary

We’re still on lockdown as I write this, and just as I promised last month, you’ll find very little mention of Covid-19 until my Tailpiece section at the back of the mag. If you want your PFK to be an escape from the awful situation happening outside — and I know that for many readers this magazine is all about going to a different world away from our daily woes — then simply give that last page a miss. I promise not to take it personally.

This month we have an eclectic mix of features, and it has been a privilege to edit each and every one. High points for me include Max Pedley’s short but packed narrative on mouthbrooding Apistogramma (p72), Laura Carlin’s introductory piece to Rock flower anemones (p74) and Steve Baker’s eye-opening instructional piece on terrestrial plants for your fish house (p44). Enjoy!
