Issue Summary

This has been a learning curve of an issue for me, and I am delighted to welcome new contributor Michael Salutin to PFK. His feature on mormyrids has given me great insight into a family of fish I knew far too little about, and you can find more about these amazing creatures—and the challenges in keeping them—on page 28.

What's in this Issue?

I feel all the more educated for his submission.
Alas, I close this issue with a heavy heart. As we go to press I have learnt that Reef Builders managing editor Jake Adams has passed away. A former PFK contributor and a veritable tour de force in the marine aquarium hobby, I am sure I speak on behalf of all aquarists when I say that he will be truly missed. As such, it’s only right that I’ve invited Jeremy Gay, former PFK editor, and a friend and colleague of Jake’s, to write the obituary that you will find in place of this month’s Tailpiece.
