Practical Fishkeeping Readers' Poll 2026 – Terms & Conditions

 

  1. The business receiving the highest number of votes in each category will be declared the winner of that category, with one runner-up also recognised. The 40 retailers (or websites, where applicable) receiving the highest number of votes overall will be listed alphabetically in the PFK Top 40 Shops ranking.

  2. Retailers, their employees, and immediate family members are not eligible to vote. Any votes considered fraudulent, duplicate, or otherwise invalid may be disqualified. Voting is open to UK residents only. All published results are final, and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the Readers' Poll results.

  3. Only one vote is permitted per person. Votes must be submitted online via the Practical Fishkeeping Readers' Poll. Multiple votes from the same individual will not be accepted and may be disqualified.

  4. Voting closes at 5:00 pm (BST) on 7 October 2026. Votes received after this deadline will not be counted and will not be entered into the prize draw.

  5. All eligible entries will be entered into a random prize draw. The first three names drawn will each receive a one-year subscription to Practical Fishkeeping. The prize draw will take place within 30 days of the voting closing date. Winners will be notified by email. There is no cash alternative.

  6. If, for reasons beyond the promoter's control, the advertised prize cannot be awarded, the promoter reserves the right to substitute it with an alternative prize of equal or greater value. The promoter's decision is final.

  7. The promoter accepts no responsibility for any loss, damage, or injury arising from acceptance or use of the prize, except where liability cannot be excluded by law, including for death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the promoter or its agents.

  8. By entering the prize draw, winners agree that the promoter and its partners may use their name, photograph, and general location for promotional and publicity purposes without additional compensation.
