Wave UK has launched its stylish new Wave Station aquarium.

The new Wave Station, which was first shown off at the GLEE trade show at the NEC in September 2008, is based around a high quality aquarium made from extra clear glass and features the rim-less, brace-less design that is popular with aquascapers.

The tanks are pre-drilled for either connecting to a sump, in the case of marine systems, or to an external power filter on tropical and coldwater aquariums via two plumbing kits designed specifically for the Wave Station.

The aquariums sit upon modern, minimalist cabinets that come in a choice of high-gloss black or high-gloss white and have a sleek lacquered appearance. Large holes cut in the rear of the cabinet allow cables and plugs to be fed into the cabinet easily.

The cabinet doors are devoid of handles or knobs and instead use magnetic sprung latches, which open when the door is pushed in, and lock shut when the door is pushed back again.

Each unit also has solid connections for tubular metal lighting brackets, which are sold separately, which allow lighting to be suspended above the Wave Station without the need to drill the ceiling.

The Wave Station aquariums come in three sizes, 60cm/24, 90cm/36 and 120cm/48 and are available from Wave stockists now.
