A man jumped fully clothed into a fish tank at a hotel in Jersey, apparently for a bet.

The video footage below (which contains strong language) shows the man taking a 'swim' in the 12,000 l/2666 gal aquarium in the lobby of the Radisson Blu Waterfront Hotel, urged on by friends who are filming the incident.

He then perches on the edge of the tank before doing a runner, after being confronted by an angry employee.

None of the tropical fish in the tank were harmed in the incident, which occurred at around 10.30pm, although a spokesperson for the hotel said: "It was a careless act and dangerous for all involved, including the fish."

Watch the video below. Warning: contains some strong language.
