The UK s aquatics and water gardening trade has launched a new, stand-alone trade event to take place next October at The Telford International Centre, Shropshire.

In association with OATA and organised by Annie Dyke and her team at Impact Exhibitions, AQUA 2010 will be a focused and dedicated trade event for the water gardening and aquatics industry.

AQUA 2010 (Oct 6-7, 2010) has already attracted many of the leading names, including Gordon Low, Aqua Pacific, Tetra, Hozelock Cyprio, Bermuda, Nishikoi, Casco, Oasis Altlantis, Oase and Peter Golding Ltd.

Dr David Pool, country business director of Tetra and vice-chairman of OATA, said: AQUA 2010 will be a focused and dedicated event for our retailers " and organised and staged by the trade for the trade.

We have been talking about and planning this type of event for a long time and a great deal of time and effort has gone into it, from Mark Winter of Aqua Pacific UK Ltd and Jim Marshall of Oasis Atlantis in particular. We know our customers want to meet and do business with us in a relaxed and focused environment. We are already absolutely delighted with trade response.

AQUA 2010 will be a very different event. It will be a focused show and it will bring the industry together with a series of high-profile retail seminars, lunch time breakout sessions, demonstrations, innovation areas and networking opportunities.

"We really want our customers to do business with us, but we also want them to enjoy the AQUA 2010 experience. All visitors will be given free refreshments throughout the day, including lunch. There will also be a free gala dinner for retailers on the opening evening.

Exhibiting at The International Centre

The International Centre, Telford, is a purpose-built conference and exhibition venue, which has been chosen for its central location and excellent motorway links.

There are two hotels on site with a combined total of 251 bedrooms, and an additional 1,000 hotel rooms within ten minutes of the venue, encouraging visitors and exhibitors to interact and network.

Stand prices will be very cost effective, allowing exhibitors to maximise their presence; and there will no restrictions on stand sizes.

As AQUA 2010 is a not-for-profit event, any surplus will be ploughed back to promoting aquatics and water gardening.
