Following the success of the original Tunze Wavebox, 2009 sees the official launch of the new Nano Wavebox for aquariums up to 600 litres.

Marketed as a World Novelty, the original Wavebox, launched in 2004 was said to correspond exactly to the wave structure and water movement in reef top zones, according to Tunze.

The nano Wavebox works on the same principle, but has been designed for smaller aquariums, says Tunze.

The very compact dimensions permit discreet attachment in small or medium sized aquariums, and the integrated magnet holder permits attachment at every point of the aquarium with a glass thickness of 19mm.

With dimensions of L125mm x W55 x H220mm, the Nano Wavebox is considerably smaller and less expensive than the original model, and has been marketed under the Eco-energetic Energy saving range.

It has been designed to supplement existing circulation pumps and power consumption in one cycle varies from 2W to 18W, with an average consumption of 10W.

It comes ready to fit with nano magnet holder, wave controller and photo-electric cell. It also comes with extra low voltage for safety, blocking and run dry protection, and alert sound emitter.

Full RRP in the UK is 224.00.
