Red Sea has added new trial pack versions to its Reef Care Program, which provides hobbyists of all levels the opportunity to control and enhance the growth and coloration of corals.

Reef Energy A and B, the program’s coral nutrition supplements, are available in a twin pack of 100 ml bottles.

Coral Coloration A,B,C and D supplements come in a 4-pack that supports a 250 l/55 gal SPS aquarium for approximately 60 days – which Red Sea says is enough time to witness impressive growth and a darkening of coral pigmentation.

Reef Energy
Reef Energy A is a unique formulation of carbohydrates, amino acids, fatty acids and suspended protein flocks that are available for direct consumption and adsorption by the corals. The suspension of protein flocks will induce mucus production and extraction. Every component has been proven to be utilised in the metabolic processes of coral protein production and soft tissue regeneration and therefore does not introduce any unnecessary organic material to the system.

Reef Energy A stimulates extension of the polyps and soft tissue, helping the coral optimise nutrient consumption by expanding its surface area for absorption.

Reef Energy B is a highly concentrated complex of vitamins and amino acids that were found to be the limiting factors in the nutritional demands of corals and other invertebrates. This complex replenishes the exact vitamins and MAA (marine amino acids) produced by Zooxanthellae. All of the components of Reef Energy B come from marine sources and are emulsified in a unique medium that enhances their solubility and adsorption of the vitamins and acids by the corals.

Coral Coloration Program
Red Sea's research into the metabolic demands of SPS, LPS and soft corals has identified 27 minor and trace elements that are present in the skeleton and soft tissue of all corals, in addition to the foundation elements. They are known as important bio-catalysts in thousands of metabolic processes in marine organisms and therefore must be readily available in all reef aquariums.

The research also shows that colour pigments within a coral can only be produced if the specific elements required for the bio-chemical process are available in the correct concentration. Each of the natural pink, red, green/yellow and blue/purple pigments are connected with specific elements that correlate with the elemental grouping of the Coral Colors A, B, C and D.

Red Sea's Coral Colors supplements have been formulated such that the ratio of the elements in each supplement are the same as found in the combined coral skeleton and soft tissue.

Price: Coral Colors ABCD pack (4 x 100ml) MRRP £19.95; Reef Energy A and B pack ( 2 x 100ml) MRRP £16.95.
