After the whole debacle of organising permission for his property to be knocked down and replaced with a new one that would house a 5,500 gal aquarium, Thierry Henry has abandoned the project.

The tank — actually four separate tanks built on top of each other — would have cost an estimated £250,000 to be incorporated, with £12,000 running costs annually.

But now, in a change of heart, and possibly thwarted by criticisms of some locals who were opposing the rebuild, the footballer has submitted planning documents to rebuild the property in absence of the behemoth fish tank.

Although it is suspected that he had his heart very much set on the project, he appears to have conceded that this former redevelop does not suit the needs of his family.
