Dr David Pool has been recognised for his work in the aquatics industry by being awarded the Ornamental Aquatic Trade Association's Lifetime Achievement Award.

David, who is the founder of FishScience Ltd, has been in the industry most of his working life, including 25 years at Tetra. He is also the author of three books on aquarium and pondkeeping as well as over 250 articles on fishkeeping. He has also appeared on national radio and television across the world to promote fishkeeping and given talks on the subject throughout the world.
He is shown above on the left, being presented with the award by OATA's Chief Executive Keith Davenport at the AQUA 2015 show dinner.
"David richly deserves this award," said Keith. "He has been a stalwart of this industry for more decades than he probably cares to remember and he’s done a huge amount to promote the hobby among fishkeepers through his books and articles in magazines."
