The Abyss in Stockport, Manchester has recently taken delivery of a stunning deep water Popeye catalufa.

The store's Anne-Marie Powderly says: "We've been chasing it down for weeks and as far as our supplier knows this fish is an un-named new species. At 20cm/8", bright red with fabulous tiger markings, giant eyes, a grumpy face and a price tag of £975...who could resist?"

Catalufa is a common name used for fish of the Priacanthidae family; they're also known as 'bigeyes', for obvious reasons.
