Aquarium fish food specialist New Era Aquaculture has been taken over by World Feeds, a new company backed by investment from Finance Yorkshire.
Established in 2005, Doncaster-based New Era Aquaculture's clients include Dubai Mall Aquarium, Legoland and Sea Life Centres. Its products will be rebranded as Vitalis Aquatic Nutrition in the UK and export markets. In North America its products will now be known as Balance Aquatic Nutrition.
In a statement, World Feeds said: "The same management team remains firmly in place and is excited about future prospects for the company and will have further news shortly on expansion plans to our manufacturing capability and capacity.
"The team at World Feeds looks forward to future developments and to continuing to provide the most nutritionally advanced fish foods to fishkeepers and public aquariums throughout the world.
"Our new website is under construction and will be ready shortly."
