A new aquarium and reptile retail store has opened on a garden centre site in Kent.

Bexley Aquatics and Reptiles, which is based at Bexley Garden Centre, Sidcup, stocks tropical freshwater, tropical marine, coldwater fish and reptiles, as well as supporting dry goods.

Managing director John Tidy told Practical Fishkeeping: "There is still a lot of work to be completed on the shop, but we have the basics in place.

"Although we stock basic fish, such as Guppies, Platies and Angels, we can get more unusual species on request."

The store also sells reptiles, including chameleons, bearded dragons and snakes, and has some interesting specimens on display, including the shop's pet Fly river turtle.
