A new public aquarium opened its doors in Falmouth this week.

Falmouth Aquarium is a three-storey facility located in a former town house in the heart of the town.

As well as featuring both tropical and native marine life, the new aquarium will also hold workshops and lectures on subjects such as marine conservation, and the third floor is dedicated to educating the public on a range of issues facing our oceans and the wildlife that inhabits them.

There is also an x-ray exhibit, featuring sharks, eels, fish and other marine species.

Falmouth Aquarium is located at 23 Church Street, Falmouth, TR11 3EG. Admission costs £4.50 for adults; £3.50 for children and £3.85 for students and senior citizens. Open daily from 10am-5pm.
