Italian aquarium equipment company Hydor are soon to launch a new skimmer for marine aquariums.
Named the Slim-Skim Performer 250.65, the new model is aimed at mini reef aquaria up to 250 litres total volume.
The Slim-Skim is:"Compact and easy to position with magnet-suction cup supports, special grid for surface water intake, multi-venturi impeller technology, and low power consumption," According to Hydor.
It also has an adjustable air control and foaming level, and is designed and made in Italy.
Technical data
The skimmer is 18cm(L)x11.5cm(W)x45cm(H) and is suitable for aquariums up to 250 litres, normal stocking, or 185 litres heavy stocking.
Power consumption is just 5W from a single pump. No extra supply pump is necessary.
The magnet fitting will hold on to glass or acrylic up to 10mm thick.
