A food inventor from Bristol has created an ice cream that glows in the dark when you lick it.

Charlie Francis had the idea when he heard about a scientist in China who had been studying the luminescent proteins of jellyfish and had managed to create a synthesised version. Francis, who is the founder of Lick Me I'm Delicious, purchased some of the stuff and created a glowing ice cream that gets brighter the more you lick it!

Francis says: "It's also pretty insanely expensive stuff, we worked out each scoop is coming out at around £140, dam those big bucks jellyfish. Is it safe to eat? Well I tried some and I don't seem to be glowing anywhere, so we'll go with a yes for now."
