Fishkeeper Scotland is set to invest £250,000 on the opening of two new stores, resulting in the retention of 12 positions and the creation of up to five new jobs.

The stores will contain over 200 aquariums and will be located within Dobbies Garden Centres in both Aberdeen and Dundee.

These will be added to the company’s existing portfolio of stores in Scotland in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Inverness.

The existing aquatics section in Dundee is due to be taken over by Fishkeeper Scotland at the end of May. In Aberdeen, construction is under way on an extension to double the size of the existing department, set to open in June.

Both sites will be reworked to hold a wider range of interesting and unusual fish along with the associated products.

Fishkeeper Scotland is an independently operated arm of Maidenhead Aquatics.
