After the success of their previous meetings the East Anglia Cichlid Group (EACG) have secured some more celebrity cichlid speakers for the future.

"On March 7, 2010 Spencer Jack will give two presentations, the first, Confessions of a Cichlaholic, and secondly an insight into his experiences collecting in Uruguay." Said Richard Thibert of EACG.

"Spencer is planning on donating fish, for auction, to the group on the day from either of his two fish farms."

"On July 4 2010 Juan Miguel Artigas Azas is coming to give us his presentation on 'The Cichlids of Mexico' which is 2 hours long, broken into two, one hour segments."

"After his well received presentation in October 2009, Rusty Wessel returns to the EACG on October 17, 2010. Subject is to be confirmed."

"And on Sunday February 27, 2011, Ad Konings will be presenting "Feeding Mechanisms of Malawi Cichlids" and also "Feeding Strategies in Tanganyika Cichlids".

The EACG will be the first to hear the latter of Ad's talks.

Join the group

"The EACG is a friendly group of cichlid keepers who get together regularly on the Suffolk/Cambs borders and hold auctions, raffles and of course guest speakers."

"Joining is free (not required) and admission at the door on the day is 5 which covers an auction catalogue."

"We have many raffle prizes to give away as well, including a years subscription to Practical Fishkeeping Magazine, Juwel Aquariums complete with stand, external filters donated by Swallow Aquatics and many fish food and sundry type items."

"So, for a great and inexpensive day out, be sure to come along. ALL ARE WELCOME. We pride ourselves in our laid back approach, so come and join us."
