A disgruntled fishkeeper has been accused of killing more than 350 marine fish and invertebrates at an aquatic retail outlet in Florida.

According to the Miami Herald, a 27-year old man was arrested last week and charged with animal cruelty for alledgedly tipping chlorine powder into a reef tank at Exotic Aquatics in Florida.

The customer is thought to have become upset when he was not allowed to bring the fish he had purchased the day before back to the shop for an exchange.

Staff noticed that the reef tank had gone cloudy shortly after he left and could smell chlorine. The fihs and inverts began to die shortly afterwards.
