Australian fisheries minister Henry Palaszczuk has said that he is concerned that the flushing scenes in Finding Nemo send the wrong message to children.
Palaszczuk told The Courier Mail: "I do not want to be overly cautious, however, I am concerned that one segment of the film, which features Nemo the clown fish being flushed down a toilet and returning to the ocean".
Flushing fish down the loo is cruel, illegal, and could lead to introduction of non-native fishes, or even disease organisms.
There have been a large number of flushings in the USA since the release of the film.
