A talented young designer of furniture with an aquatic theme has been invited by the world's largest furniture technology centre, to showcase his work at their International headquarters, based in Hertfordshire.

Ashley Gregory, from Cleethorpes in North Lincolnshire will showcase his Aqua Fusion  furniture with the Furniture Industry Research Association (FIRA) for four months and will be promoted within the industry, at the technology centre’s expense, as an up and coming designer of the future.

Daniel Shrimpton, Showcase Manager at the FIRA says: "The reason Ashley has been invited to FIRA International is because he demonstrates exceptional talent and has produced some quite outstanding furniture”.  When asked about how he felt about being one of only a handful to be accepted in 2011, the young designer commented: “I’ve seen some fantastic furniture at FIRA but I never imagined I would actually get to showcase my own work there and for it to be exposed at the highest possible level.  Ask any designer of furniture, this is a real privilege”.

Ashley Gregory at 26 is one of the youngest ever designers to be showcased at FIRA.
