The 2009 rankings for The International Aquatics Plant layout contest have been released.
Organized by Aqua Design Amano in Japan, the contest saw a record number of entries with 1342 contestants from 51 countries.
1st prize was won by Nguyen Tien Dung of Vietnam, a country with three entries ranking in the top 10.
All top 10 places were taken by South East Asian entries.
European entries
The highest ranking European entrant was Pasquale Buonpane from Italy, in 22nd place.
The UK entries totaled nine, with the highest ranking UK entrant, Andrew Mack and his creation coming in 81st.
PFK's George Farmer was next to place at 169th, followed by Chris Jupp at 174th and Aaron North at 685th.
Dobrin Dobrev, Graeme Edwards, Nick Parker, James Starr-Marshall and James Maslin ranked, 777th, 839th, 946th, 1056th and 1156th respectively.
ADA are set to release pictures of the top 27 entries in the near future.
