Most of us will be familiar with those arcade games where you use your skill to try and grab a stuffed toy with a claw that you position and lower from the outside.

Not easy to win — in many cases you can grab the item, only to see it dropped again before you can manoeuvre it to the appropriate spot where it falls through and you can claim the prize.

Now it seems that arcades in Japan are offering live puffer fish as prizes in these arcade games (known as UFO catchers), according to a report by RocketNews24.

The Green spotted puffers are seen in the video below, housed inside small containers in an arcade in Tokyo.

Last year RocketNews24 reported on a similar game where winners were supposed to get a live lobster — but all the lobsters in the tank had died.
