The North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has had the manager of a terrapin farm executed, according to news reports.

Kim Jong Un visited the Taedonggang terrapin farm in May, when he expressed his displeasure that food and water were not being adequately supplied to the terrapins and also at the failure of staff to breed lobsters.

Staff explained that power cuts were commonplace at the farm, and that it was not being given sufficient food for the turtles. But according to the news agency the DailyNK, Kim Jong Un ordered the execution of the terrapin farm's manager, who was taken outside and shot.
