Police are investigating a ram raid on a public aquarium in Sussex.

Sussex Police said three people drove a Range Rover through the front doors of The Blue Reef Aquarium in Hastings at around 4am on Tuesday morning.

It is believed that the suspects took a charity box containing an unknown amount, but the police are appealing for witnesses.

The vehicle was dark-coloured, with a square-shaped index plate on the left hand side of the vehicle and a rear-mounted spare wheel.

Anyone with information about the ram raid should call Sussex police on 0845 6070999.
