OASE expands with purchase of biOrb
The OASE Group has announced it has acquired the assets of Reef One, home of the popular biOrb range of aquariums and accessories.
Paul Stevenson; Managing Director of Reef One Ltd said: "When I decided to retire having built biOrb up from scratch we could have chosen a number of partners. I saw OASE as the perfect fit to take the business to the next level and further cement our position as a key player in the UK market as well as build up distribution in North America and mainland Europe where OASE has several subsidiaries and local salesforces. In particular I am very happy that my great team will now be part of the OASE organisation."
Since its first order in October 2000, Reef One has sold over 1,000,000 biOrbs in countries all around the world and its product range now include plants, decor and accessories.
Reef One's new biOrb Halo 15 MCR aquarium, featuring a hidden water line and multi-colour remote controlled lighting was highly commended in the Aquaria and Furniture category of the new products awards at the recent AQUA trade show.
Ansgar Paul, CEO of OASE Group commented: "We are very excited about the addition of biOrb to our range.
