Another new species of hillstream catfish from the Alas River drainage in Aceh province in northern Sumatra has been described in a recent issue of the journal Zootaxa.
The new sisorid species, named Glyptothorax ketambe by Heok Hee Ng and Renny Hadiaty, is distinguished from congeners in the pattern of skin folds on the thoracic adhesive apparatus, the shape of the apparatus, the colour pattern, and proportional measurements of the head and body.
