The Ornamental Aquatic Trade Association is looking to recruit an assistant to Chief Executive Keith Davenport.

OATA was established in 1991 to promote and protect the ornamental aquatic industry. It encompasses coldwater, tropical freshwater and marine fish and invertebrates, together with aquatic plants for the aquarium or pond.

The Association currently has over 700 UK members comprising importers, distributors, manufacturers and retailers.

The Association is focused on preventing legislation that would have a direct impact on the UK aquatic industry and through its lobbying of government and associated bodies, has saved the industry over £200 million in the last twenty years.

The successful candidate will use their understanding of aquatic organisms to influence regulations locally, nationally and globally on issues as diverse as welfare and conservation.

Located in Wiltshire, salary ranges from £20-28k by negotiation, depending on experience.
