Yesterday's offer of a free external filter worth nearly 80 with an annual subscription to Practical Fishkeeping sold out in record time.
The exclusive offer, which was sent to members of the Practical Fishkeeping website in yesterday's email newsletter, offered a Tetratec EX600 external power filter to new and renewing subscribers in the UK and, as stated in the email and on the forum, was based on very limited stocks.
The offer sold out shortly after the email was broadcast yesterday lunchtime.
The offer was removed from the website as soon as we became aware that all subscriptions had been sold.
However, people were so quick to order that the offer was over-subscribed before we could remove it.. As indicated in the offer, those readers who sadly missed out on the filter will be contacted by letter and offered an alternative gift.
We are very sorry to disappoint anybody who has not been lucky enough to secure one of the filters.
We will offer an alternative gift to all these people, and the details of this gift will be sent via a letter.
Any subscribers who prefer not to receive the alternative gift can cancel their subscription.
