Southend, Leigh and District Aquarist Society is holding an open fish show on May 18.

The show takes place at Temple Sutton School, Eastern Avenue, Southend-On-Sea.

Many fish not normally seen in the shops will be on display.

The Society believes this fish show will be the only one in Essex in 2013.

Exhibits are expected from a wide area, in the past there have been competitive entries from as far as Port Talbort in Wales, Sheffield and Corby.

Society members will be on hand to give advice and answer questions. There will be raffles, sales tables of members' fish and plants etc.

The Society's President Gary can be contacted at garysnell@hotmail.co.uk
