A little red Betta is being hailed a hero by primary school children for helping save the school.
A fire broke out in a classroom at about 1am, triggering alarms. But when firefighters arrived, they only found glowing embers and the remains of a shattered fishbowl.
The heat caused the bowl to explode, and its water put the fire out.
Amazingly, the fish (called Dory) was still alive and was quickly put into a glass of water.
Dory today is happy and well in a new home, and has become used to all the attention she now gets.
