Eheim external filters can now be applied to the nano aquarium market with the release of a new model.

The aquacompact is available in two models, capable of filtering nano aquariums from 20-40 and 30-60 litres total volume.

"With aquacompact, a fusion of internal and external filter has been achieved for open top aquariums," say Eheim.

"Aquacompact is easy to position on the aquarium glass, so that the pump hangs on the inside and the filter on the outside."

Design features
The unique design does make the Eheim different to competing nano external filters.

The filters include an internal pump with telescopic inlet, easy flow adjustment and a small spraybar. Power consumption for both models is 5 watts.
