Dutch aquarium product manufacturer EasyLife has launched Voogle, a new product it claims to protect fish against infections.

Aquadip, the UK distributor of EasyLife Voogle, told Practical Fishkeeping that weekly additions of the product to marine or freshwater aquariums provides natural protection to fish and decreases their susceptibility to a wide range of diseases.

It claims that Voogle is not toxic to fish, shrimps, crabs, snails, plants or corals and won't affect the filter bacteria or water parameters.

The product is said to be based predominantly on a mixture of plant extracts, vitamins and minerals and is naturally broken down biologically after use, meaning removal via water changes is not required.

The product is due to go on show at the Aqua 2010 trade show in October this year.
