Romsey World of Water has now re-opened after the floods that closed the store and is looking forward to its open weekend, now scheduled for March 15-16.
For the last two weeks the site has been 90cm/3' underwater (pictured below) as a tributary of the River Test burst its banks and flooded the local area.
"This has meant that for the first time in the store's 40 year history we have had to have an unplanned closure," says James Dwyer of Romsey World of Water. "Now, thanks to lots of help from The Norfolk Light Dragoons, the Environment Agency and the Emergency Services the water level has dropped, the roads re-opened and we are able to trade again.
"We have recently moved our Tropical Event to March 15-16 and will be running some extra special promotions to say thanks to everyone who has supported us for the last few weeks.
"This will be the third year our event has run and it is going to be the best yet. The format will be the same as always, so lots of manufacturers and knowledgable chaps to chat to and plenty of exclusive offers (details below). In addition to livestock discounts (this is the only time in the year we offer this), customer raffle and discounts across the store.

Romsey World of Water stocks tropical, marine and coldwater fish (including Japanese Koi) and the weekend offers something for everyone with lots to do and enough to entertain even non-fishy folk.
The store will be open on the Saturday from 8am (to attendees); 9am-6pm to the public and on the Sunday from 9.30am (to attendees;) 10am-4pm to the public.
