Polegate based Discus seller Mark Evenden is celebrating this week as two of his discus won awards at a show.

The second Dutch Discus Show organised by the Discus Club of Holland was recently held in Vianen near Utrecht.

It was a two day event with 100 Discus in competition from around the world, and several trade stands and exhibitions.

Dougal Stewert (UK) and Tony Vaughn (Ireland) were both invited to be judges, and they were joined by Mark Evenden (competing) and Mick Mimms (visiting) from the UK.

Mark entered a number of Stendker Discus and two of these, a Red Turquoise and Pigeon Red won their respective classes.

Mark said the show drew in over 1000 visitors in two days, and was superbly organised.
