TV presenter Carol Vorderman has been left with what's described as a 'bone-deep gash' after a plucky crab at a restaurant decided to fight for its life.
The incident took place when she and her partner Graham Duff decided to eat at TV chef Rick Stein's seafood restaurant while on holiday in Cornwall.
When she went over to the aquarium on display to choose her main meal, one of the crabs on offer decided to put up a fight, nipping her badly with one of its claws.
She said: "A close encounter with the main course, a crab, left me with a bone-deep gash that literally rendered my left hand useless. Thankfully, it doesn't appear to be permanently damaged but it really has hindered me using that hand."
