A car which veered off a road in South Yorkshire went over a wall and plunged 10' to land upside down in a garden pond.

Firefighters were called to the scene at Redbrook, Barnsley, but the two passengers of the car had managed to get out before they arrived.

Paramedics attended the scene and the passengers were taken by ambulance to a local hospital, but are not thought to be seriously injured, reports The Star.

The owners of the house were at home at the time of the accident on Sunday evening and heard a loud bang as the car hit the wall and plunged into the pond in their back garden on Barcroft Flatt.
