Have you ever fancied finding out what it's like to work at a public aquarium? Well the Blue Planet Aquarium is currently seeking a volunteer aquarist or herpetologist to assist in their zoological department.

The popular attraction at Ellesmere Port, Cheshire is one of the largest aquariums in the UK and the successful candidate will work directly with the zoological team and assist them with all aspects of running the department, learning the skills essential for working in a public aquarium.

The volunteer programme is open to those with free time available to work with animals or students required to complete a work placement, but you must be at least 18 years old and able to commit to a minimum of two days per week between the hours of 8am to 4pm, for four weeks.

For more information and application forms, have a look at the Blue Planet website.
