Aquajardin celebrates the opening of its new reptile and aquatics store at Garsons in Titchfield with a special open day on Thursday, October 29, where customers will be able to meet a huge tortoise, a giant snake and a friendly tarantula at the garden centre near Fareham between 12pm and 3pm.

Would you be brave enough to come face-to-face with giant reptiles or hairy spiders? You can find out this half term.

The Aquajardin open day will give families an opportunity to learn about these unusual creatures from wildlife photographer and venomous snake wrangler Tom Charlton of Eco Animal Encounters. The bravest visitors will even have a chance to handle the animals, and find out more about looking after reptiles themselves.

The new store from the award winning aquatic chain will boast a wide range of tropical, coldwater and marine fish, as well as reptiles and amphibians and everything needed to care for them. The newly designed store has all the latest ranges and leading brands, with inspirational displays. Both seasoned enthusiasts and first-time fish and reptile keepers — and everyone in between — can take advantage of special launch offers as well as Christmas ideas.

Covering everything from high tech reef systems, advanced planted aquariums and nano set ups, there is plenty to inspire every fishkeeper.

This, the fourth Aquajardin will be its second on the South Coast, with the well established site in Southampton which has recently expanded its marine systems and added a specialist reptile section and dedicated discus system.

Aquajardin Fareham is at Garsons Garden Centre, Fontely Road, Titchfield, Fareham PO15 6QX. Tel. 01329 846500.
