Speakers have been announced for the Aqua 2010 water gardening and aquatics trade event, which takes place in Telford this October.

Aqua 2010 said that the event's seminar programme is strongly-focussed on the aquatic, water gardening and reptile retail trade and will include two days of seminars by retail experts.

Peter Dawson of Aqua 2010 told Practical Fishkeeping: "Keynote speaker is Mark Dickens, the retail strategy director of Wanda Communications, who will be addressing the subject of 'Cashing in on customers'.

"During the hour long session on both days Mark plans to discuss understanding what makes customer 'tick', how they behave and what they really believe in is the key to driving retail sales."

Merchandising and marketing
Other speakers, including Rupert Bridges and Chris Nickson of Tetra, will be discussing merchandising and explaining how retailers can maximise space and boost sales.

Mark Taylor of Clock Creative Communications is speaking on the simple ways to promote and market your business, based on his first hand experience in marketing for the pet and aquatic industry.

Aqua 2010 takes place on 6-7 October at Telford International Centre. Admission is for the trade only.
