Wiltshire based aquatic and garden centre Acres Supply is launching a new competition, inspired by ITV's X Factor.
With tropical, cool water and marine categories the family run business is inviting photographs of hobbyists tanks to be sent to them for judging.
The best tank in each category will win a prize from a number of companies including Aqua One, Rena, Hikari, Red Sea, ALF, Norwood, J&K and Arcadia.
Top prizes include a MariSys system and external filters.
"Bring in a photo of your tank," Says Rob White of Acres supply, "And put name, address and telephone number on the back."
"We accept one entry per tank, and photos cannot be returned unless collected after February 2010."
"Clearly mark on the back whether your tank is tropical, cool water or marine. Judging of the tanks will be done on 1st February 2010."
Prizes
"There will be prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd for each of the three classes - tropical, coolwater and marine."
"This flier with the Tank Factor logo needs to feature in the photo of your tank."
The closing date is 31st January 2010, with open days on 28th and 29th November 2009.
