These robotic fish have been designed for the aquarium. Their swimming action is pretty close to that of real fish — and they actually look like they're searching for food in the substrate!
Robo Fish are the invention of Takara Tomy A.R.T.S. in Japan. The range includes the ever-popular 'Nemo' clownfish, along with brighter, less realistic styles, no doubt designed to appeal to children.
Of course, you can't beat the real thing, but we reckon these are still pretty cool — and as a child's 'pet' at least you don't have to worry about things like water quality, feeding or the child becoming bored with them.
