Three women, posing for a holiday snapshot, get the shock of their lives as a stingray drapes itself around them!
Apparently it was part of a prank. As the holiday-makers stood in 90cm/3' of water, smiling happily at the camera at a tourist spot called Stingray City in the Cayman Islands, a man picked up one of the stingrays and placed it onto their backs. You can just see the top of the joker's head in the photo.
The source of the picture is unknown, but it has gone viral.
Stingray City is popular with visitors who pet and interact with the Southern stingrays (Dasyatis americana), which can be found in abundance there. Tour operators offer trips to the area, bringing buckets of squid to feed the stingrays with.
