Hybrid synos and how to avoid them"Thanks for a really good article. I have made this exact mistake for my 180 gallon C. gibberosa tank. I was assured by the fella in the shop that the six syno's I purchased were S. Petricola, and in his defence they were very small and looked to be exactly that (we both had a well known catfish reference book to help us with identification). But my suspicions started when my supposed dwarf catfish nearly tripled in size in the first six weeks. I have since discovered that they are definitely hybrids which leaves me in a bit of a quandary as I am firmly in the 'don't like hybrid' camp. So as the article says "Be aware just how many hybrid syno's are out there""

East Anglia Cichlid Group auction draws crowds"A brilliant day out for all Cichlaholic's, these days are getting better and better. The next one is a definitely unmissable day, I am already excited at the thought of meeting and listening to Juan Miguel Artigas Azas ."
